MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Red Arrows Press Day. DESCRIPTION: The RAF’s Red Arrows, those dare devils of the skies, at RAF Little Rissington, perform twists, turns and Red Arrows Roulette, at speeds of about 750 mph. Shortly they go on a North American Tour. SHOTLIST: GV pan formation of Red Arrows flypast. GV Red Arrows & pilots lined up on aerodrome, pan to RAF band marching past planes playing Red Arrows March. SV ditto past planes. CU Red Arrows pilot putting on helmet. CU coat of arms on plane. SV pilot getting into cockpit. CU 2 names on side of plane Flight Lieutenant RE Sommerville & Commander RW Perkinball. SV pilot in cockpit putting on helmet, SV mechanic closing cockpit cover. LV as mechanics run from planes to side of runway pulling chocks. SV Red Arrow plane taxiing away. CU pan another plane taxiing away. LV ditto in heat haze. CU pan another plane taxiing away. CU pan ditto down to wheels. GV pan formation of Red Arrows taking off. GV & BV formation of 9 towards & over camera. SV pan formation fly past left to right. GV formation climbs through clouds. CU RAF officer looking skywards. GV Red Arrows flying in Concorde formation. SCU pan as they fly past camera. GV formation of 9 zoom by skywards, the leading 2 start to break away. CU formation of 7 climbing. GV 2 planes flying low at speed over aerodrome they pass each other. GV formation of 7. GV pan as 2 planes fly low & pass each other. LV 2 planes criss cross. GV as formation of 7 break away zoom into 1 plane. GV formation flying towards camera & out of picture.
