First match on the Centre Court is Stan Smith (USA) v Plotz (W Germany). SHOTLIST: GV mass crowds outside Wimbledon. SCU pan young girl with fashionable hat. SCU two women wearing fashionable hats. SV girls taking rackets from boot of car. SCU Jimmy Connors (USA) signing autographs. SV Anne Hayden-Jones holding baby. SCU pan Chris Evert (USA) going into entrance. SV pan Teddy Tinling going into entrance. SV Miss Evonne Goolagong (Australia) down steps & past people. GV pan mass crowds outside. GV Stan Smith (USA) and Hans Plotz (Germany), in play in play on centre court, Plotz serving nearest camera, rally takes place, Smith hits ball into net, point for Plotz. GV crowds watching. GV Smith serving far end, followed by long rally, Smith hits ball down over net but ball just goes over line for Plotz to win point. SV crowd applauding. SV Plotz serving far end. GV rally Smith hits ball over net to win point. SV umpire. GV Plotz serving far end, for match point, Smith wins game, zoom in as they shake hands. SV Smith & Plotz walk off court.
