- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Trafalgar Day. DESCRIPTION: On 21st October 1805 Britain won a great sea battle off the Cape Trafalgar, but lost its most popular hero, Admiral Lord Nelson. A hundred and seventy years later on board Nelson’s flagship, HMS Victory, a simple ceremony commemorates the events of that day and the flying of the famous signal which has stirred the heart of many an Englishman "England expects that every man will do his duty".
