MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Thames Barrier. DESCRIPTION: At Woolwich Reach work is well under way on the massive Thames Barrier, which is designed to prevent large- scale flooding along the River’s London banks. The Barrier is due for completion in 1979, when ten large gates will control the water level. SHOTLIST: Full screen, rain pelting down. CU rain onto large puddle. GV flooded Thames Embankment.
