- Summary
- COI synopsis: When three days old, Bradley Austin - a mite of a boy - was rushed into the Brompton Hospital, London. The indications were that the boy would die. There was a faint bluish tinge around his lips. Almost certainly, he had a malformed heart. But science and technology have improved over the last five years. And in the Brompton, they have gathered together a special team - the instigators of this new technology. The team decided that Bradley Austin needn’t necessarily be a lost cause. On the other hand, saving him would require every new expertise explored in the last five years. But there was a chance. This is the story of how the team took that fragile chance.
