- Summary
- COI synopsis: With its "droop nose" looking like the predatory beak of some giant eagle, the west’s first supersonic airliner lifts its spindly legs off the ground and powers into the air for the first time. At the British end of this Anglo-French project, reporter Ian Morrison talks with our Minister of Technology beside the second prototype. A multi-million pound mass of research and development on the ground becomes a soaring "great bird" as it takes to its element.
