Summary
COI synopsis: The eight-week season of Henry Wood Promenade Concerts has become a feature of the English summer - like tennis at Wimbledon and racing at Ascot. The Proms have a passionately devoted following amongst the younger music-lovers - but have been accused by others of being musically unadventurous. Maggie Palmer finds out more, by talking to some of the people performing in and listening to - this year’s Proms.
