- COI synopsis: Joan and Julius Evans, an American couple touring Britain, visit Harwell, the centre of atomic research in Britain. They talk with the scientists and learn about their work, hobbies and family life. Joan and Julius discuss with a young woman chemist her feeling about family versus career. From a security officer they learn the effect of the Atomic Research Centre on the neighbouring community. American scientists working at Harwell explain the importance of the information exchanged between Britain and America in this new age of atomic power.
