- Summary
- NoS Summary - Pierrot puppets are made to dance - we see shots of the operators.
British Pathe synopsis: "Marvellous moving miniatures, straight from the Never-Never Land." Two pierrot puppets are moved around a puppet stage. They are bashed into each other and stood up again. One of the puppets is made to play the piano. They do a dance, a butterfly joins in. One of the pierrots tries to catch the butterfly to comic effect. Another butterfly turns up and the puppet goes berserk trying to catch it. A snake then bites the puppet, hanging on to the back of it’s outfit. We then see "The Professor and the Singer" - two other puppets. An elderly male puppet plays the piano. Another puppet sings. "And all the rest of the Little People, galvanised into life by master hands." L/S of the puppet stage with lots of puppets performing. Side view of the stage, camera tilts up to show the operators leaning over the top and pulling the strings. C/U of the operators - strings everywhere. Very low angle looking up towards them. L/S of the puppets - the curtain falls. - Keywords
