British Pathe synopsis: "While the quaint street cry of the lavender seller is heard less and less, the demand for lavender does not diminish.... and the harvest is a busy time." Scenic shot of lavender field. Shot is framed with a semicircular mask. Camera pans across the landscape to reveal group of people picking lavender. C/U of man’s hands as he picks. He uses a small hand tool to cut the lavender. The lavender is stacked in piles. "Sweet, blooming lavender... being cut and packed ready for the market." L/S of picturesque group packing lavender in the field under a canopy. Closer view shows the men and women tying the lavender into NoSles. C/U of the guillotine used to cut the ends off the lavender. Various shots of the lavender being packed into wicker boxes. The boxes are stacked onto the back of a lorry.
