Summary
Maureen Connolly takes the women’s singles for third time in two straight sets against Louise Brough who herself won the championship three times running. (sub title) Bravo, Drobny Sixteen years after he first appeared at Wimbledon Drobny becomes men’s singles champion for first time having twice before failed in the finals. He is first left-handed player to hold the title since 1914.
