MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: SS "President Hoover" Aground. DESCRIPTION: SS "President Hoover". SHOTLIST: The $8,000,000 liner, once bombed by the Japanese, runs into more trouble after having been tossed by storms onto a reef off the island of Formosa. The boats are lowered and the passengers and crew rowed to a small island nearby. All are saved and skeleton crew remains aboard helping to salvage the liner.
