MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: American Home Guard and Rifles Presented to British Home Guard. DESCRIPTION: Americans living in Britain have formed the first motorised Home Guard Unit. Further American assistance for the Home Guard comes in the form of rifles and ammunition. SHOTLIST: 1. Close ups of General Hayes and General Sergison Brooke. Shots of the men of parade and of the cars. 2. Lord Davies and Mr Wickham Steed hand out the rifles as members of the Home Guard pass before them. Shot that may come in useful, ie CU of the armlet on a Home Guard Uniform.
