Summary
36 years ago oil began to flow in this island state. It brought prosperity; a prosperity which has been wisely used to serve the people. A complete new town is quickly taking shape on land donated by the ruler, His Highness Shaikh Isa Bin Sulman Al Khalifah. Fittingly, the £6 million new town has been named after him, and already 750 families have moved into new homes which are sold to them at reasonable prices on long term loans. Helping to make this exciting project a reality are over 90 British firms, which have designed the entire layout and are supplying materials for it’s construction.
