Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Australian Minesweeping. DESCRIPTION: A mine damaged ship is brought back into port. Mines are not the only peril in the Southern sea, Nazi raiders has also taken their toll. SHOTLIST: A ship, damaged by collision with a mine, is brought back to port. Shots of survivors who were prisoners aboard a Nazi raider and were put ashore on a deserted South Sea Island. Shots aboard a minesweeper as the sweeps are put out. A floating mine is exploded by rifle-fire. (This is the first shot we have ever had of a mine actually being exploded and will come in very useful in future stories).
