- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: If Day in Winnipeg. DESCRIPTION: The people of Winnipeg stage an "If Day", the "If" standing for what would happen if the Nazis invaded. SHOTLIST: This story gives a realistic idea of what would happen if the Nazis invaded Winnipeg. The Union Jack is hauled down and replaced by the Swastika. Winnipeg’s Mayor, John Queen is "arrested". The Winnipeg Tribune "newspaper" becomes Das Winnipeger Lugenblatt. Nazis shoulder citizens from restaurants, all churches and places of worship closed and ministers are put under arrest, schools are invaded and teachers expelled. Shots of looting. Excellent German Invasion story.
