MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Berlin - Carcass City. DESCRIPTION: The clearing up of Berlin is a slow process and evidence of its wartime devastation can be seen everywhere. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Avenue of Victory (Siegesallee). At Olympic Stadium, torch bearer sets light to inflammable liquid. Elevated shot races being run. Crowds at stadium. Clearing rubble from ruined buildings. German women clear rubble (chain style), Avenue of Victory overgrown with weeds etc. Memorial of Hohenzollerns in Berlin’s Hyde Park. GVs of new Russian Memorial, Russian sentries on guard in Berlin’s Main Street (Kurfurstendamm) trucking shots of same, few shops having been repaired. Tilt down of cinema, poster exhibit Brief Encounter, German people queuing for same. Shots of two beer gardens in Kurfurstendamm, traffic passes along road.
