Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: New Terminal for Ocean Travellers. DESCRIPTION: British Railways’ new Ocean Terminal at Southampton, reported to have been built at a cost of £750,000, was recently opened by Mr Attlee. SHOTLIST: KS. Aerial of Southampton showing new terminal. Various shots of terminal with "Queen Elizabeth" lying alongside. Various interior shots of terminal shows buffet. Customs department. Mr Attlee arrives, unveils tablet & addresses gathering. MS audience. Aboard "QE" on the bridge, panning to the terminal, several shots. Cut-ins of Mr Attlee shaking hands with workmen.
