Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Macarthur Traps Reds. DESCRIPTION: General MacArthur himself flew over the battlefield in North Korea after the capture of Pyongyang, the Red Capital. He saw Airborne troops dropped to cut off the retreating communist forces. SHOTLIST: KS. Interior plane - MacArthur looks out of porthole, another interior of plane, paratroopers jumping out. Aerial of parachutes scattered about the ground (187th Airborne Regiment). Ground shots prisoners being brought in, several hundreds. Refugees with NoSles in town, where buildings still smoulder. Various shots of prisoners. Several shots of refugees. British troops stand by fence on which they have written in chalk, cheering & waving (silent), (Argyll & Sutherland Regiment). Native child being fed by one of our soldiers.
