Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: State Opening of Parliament. DESCRIPTION: It was perhaps rather a grey autumn day for the State Opening of Parliament, but the Royal drive from Buckingham Palace, as always, was a great attraction for Londoners. SHOTLIST: KS. CU Coats of Arms (Royal). Royal procession leaves Buckingham Palace amid cheering crowds, rounding Queen Victoria Memorial, panning shot. Mix to coming out of the Horse Guards into Whitehall (dull day). Household Cavalry lead procession. King & Queen in coach. Approach Parliament Square, MS troops paraded outside House. Troops present arms. GV parade outside Westminster Palace. Royal coach arrives & turns into Palace of Westminster, disappearing through archway.
