- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Home for Christmas. DESCRIPTION: Some of the troops to leave Port Said since the announcement of the withdrawal of the Anglo-French Force, were men of the Royal Fusiliers. They sailed aboard the troopship Dilwara. Meanwhile General Sir Charles Keightley and General Sir Hugh Stockwell were visited by Major General Burns (commanding the UN Force) to confer details of the take over. Limassol and men of the Royal Norfolk Regiment all packed up and ready to go. They were about to start on their voyage home from Cyprus. Among ships of the Royal Navy that have just returned to home waters, a Frigate and two Destroyers berth at Portsmouth. SHOTLIST: Royal Fusiliers with kitbags leave Port Said. Loading ships. Ship Dilwara. CU Sir Charles Keightley and Sir Hugh Stockwell waiting for Major General Burns. Major Burns arrives. Limassol. Cyprus - Royal Norfolk Regiment with kits leaving for England. 3 ships arrive at Portsmouth from Suez campaign. Sailors off ships being greeted and kissed by wives etc.
