- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Sahara Rocket Trials. DESCRIPTION: Wide open spaces: that’s the place for a rocket range. Few places could be wider than the Sahara Desert. The French have had a range at Colomb-Bechar for eleven years, now. It’s their version of our Woomera Testing ground: in the deserts of Australia. Some of the test-runs were recorded, by our cameras.
