- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Boat Race. DESCRIPTION: One of the most crowded sporting events over Easter was that annual boat race on the Thames. Cambridge had won the last four contests, but this year that reputation crumbled as Oxford began to move gradually ahead. And when Oxford were in sight of the finish, they were six lengths ahead.
