Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Ships Collide. DESCRIPTION: These pictures show the liner Santa Rosa proceeding to New York after being in a collision with the tanker Valchem off Atlantic City. On her deck she carried the funnel of the ship she hit and which was almost cut in half. Four of Valchem’s crew lost their lives and sixteen were injured in the tragedy.
