- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: AAA Championships. DESCRIPTION: AAA Championships at the White City London, and the eight-eighty. Hewson (number one) went on to win from Rawson in one minute fifty-two. The Mile started rather slowly. No-one seemed keen on setting a hot pace or breaking records on this occasion. These tactics evidently suited Ken Wood (number 35), who won this event three years ago. Running the last lap at a sizzling pace, he beat John Anderson by about three yards. The three miles were easily won by Bruce Tulloh (number 25), who run this race at-least fifteen seconds faster than his previous best. SHOTLIST: CU of man starting race. 880 yards - shot of the start of the race. Various shots of the race. Brian Hewson makes run from the back to take the lead. Shot of the crowd. Panning shot of Hewson as he comes in to win from Rawson. Start of the 1 mile race. Shots of the race. Ken Wood comes from the back to the front to win, beating John Anderson. Shots of the start of the 3 mile race. Ibbotson, Gilligan and Eldon running. Various shots of the race. Shots of Bruce Tulloh running by himself. CU comes in to win.
