- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Coronation in Malaya. DESCRIPTION: Johore Bahru, capital of the State of Johore, can seldom have looked so festive, but this was indeed a very special day: the day of Coronation. Now to the Palace. In the throne room, the climax of the ceremony, the placing of a crown on the Sultan’s head. Sultan Sir Ismail’s consort, Aminah, was then crowned as Sultanah of Johore. Prayers were offered in the presence of representatives of Malay rulers of other States of the Federation. With his consort, the Sultan then left on his way to drive in state through his capital.
