Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Oui for De Gaulle. DESCRIPTION: Once again, President de Gaulle has won a substantial victory by a direct appeal to the people on his proposed constitutional revision. But this time, the NOES and particularly the abstentions were far more numerous. Nevertheless, the President got 62 per cent of the votes cast. It is nothing like the response to the Algerian referendum, but enough to enable de Gaulle to continue his historic task. SHOTLIST: Key scene. MS de Gaulle up steps and waving. (5 shots) signs.
