- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Gold Rush Railway. DESCRIPTION: Our pictures show the coastal town of Skagway in Alaska, terminus of the old Gold Rush Railway. It’s now a unique Summer tourist attraction, for it follows the historic trail of the ‘98. This was the gateway to the Klondike, and dreams of untold wealth. To ride its narrow tracks is to recall the rip-roaring Gold Rush days of over 50 years ago, when they blasted the right of way with picks, shovels and black powder. SHOTLIST: Key scene. GV train. (2 shots) mountains. GV township. CU sign 1899. (2 shots) people board train. CU man. GV train past. TS lines. CU driver. GV mountains. MS observation car. MS train over bridge along cliff edge.
