Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Magicians Meeting. DESCRIPTION: Quickness of the hand deceives the cameras’ eye at a meeting of the Magic Club of Paris. SHOTLIST: SBV man performing trick with hoops in front of a panel of people. CU man joins two hoops together. SV people watching. SV man performing with his right arm outstretched & with his left he rubs two silver balls on his right and produces a 3rd ball in his hand. SCU he takes ball from his right & places it with another in his left, he moves two balls in his left hand and produces a 3rd. LV magician places a dove in a cloth, pulls the cloth straight, and the dove has gone. CU pack of cars in hand, cards move on their own and reveal 4 Aces and 2 other cards. CU man places card in a wallet with rectangular holes in it, card can be seen when it is put in. CU Queen of Hearts in hands, card is flicked and it is the 3 of Spades. SV man flicks cards towards camera. CU 2 men place two balls in one hand and make them disappear. CU (trick done in reflection of mirror). Coin placed in one hand then covered by other, it disappears pan out to man’s hands not there, reflection to see the coin on the back of his hand. SV man walks up to another & asks for a light from his lighted lighter, the magician takes the flame from the lighter in his hand and lights the man’s cigarette. SV magician walks up to table with a lighted pan, he placed a lid on it then takes it off & produces a dove, the dove flies off.
