Summary
NoS Summary - Two teams of girls play a game with a ball in an outdoor swimming pool.
British Pathe synopsis: "Real sprites, too - " L/S of a group of women beside a swimming pool. They wear black swimsuits and swimming hats. Some sit with their feet in the water, the others stand behind them. Dissolve into a L/S of the pool - it is a large lido. There are two men in a rowing boat in the middle of the pool, they throw a ball into the water. Girls swim from either side of the pool towards the ball. They then have a game, throwing the ball around. Overhead shots of the game, there is a goal at either end of the pool. A goal is scored. "One joint gargle - ‘Goal’" The ball comes into shot and girls descend on it from all sides. Various shots of the game. "The ‘Goalie’ had a busy time dealing with these ‘slows’." Slow motion footage of a goal being scored. "And something queer happened here!" Film reversal is used to show the game being played backwards. "Yes, the Camera reversed - and it did more here!" Sped up footage of the game.
