Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Waxing the Record Breaker. DESCRIPTION: The personality parade at Madame Tussauds, the world’s most famous wax works, is always changing. Donald Campbell, who next year we hope will steer Bluebird to a new ‘World’ Land Speed Record, at around 400 mph is the latest of a long line of speed kings to be measured up for a likeness. Great pains are taken to match the celebrity’s colour, complexion and also their vital statistics. The art has been handed down through a long line of craftsmen since the exhibition opened in 1833. SHOTLIST: Key scene. MLS Donald Campbell being measured. Donald Campbell’s head measured (2 shots). CU Mrs Campbell. CU box of eyes. MCU Donald Campbell with matching eye. MCU woman combing hair (2 shots). Donald Campbell being measured (3 shots). CU man writer. MLS hand hanging on wall. MCU plaster cast of hand. MCU Mrs Campbell. CU Donald Campbell.
